In a surprise press release, Capcom announced today that they will be re-releasing six of their NES-era Disney games. The perfectly titled “Disney Afternoon Collection” will include Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 1&2, DuckTales 1&2, Darkwing Duck, & TaleSpin and will be releasing this April 18th on PS4, XB1 and PC for $19.99.
These aren’t just straight ROM dumps either. The “Disney Afternoon Collection” will support 1080p HD visuals, a museum gallery, boss rush, and time attack modes. A new “Rewind” feature has also been added that lets you rewind your play in order to fix an accidental death or mistake. So you can choose to enjoy your dose of nostalgia in either rage or rage-free mode.
Last but certainly not least this re-release is I sure to be a hit with collectors, as both Rescure Rangers 2 and DuckTales 2 were released toward the end of the NES-era and as such are considered to be slightly more difficult to find.
